Packing museum valuables is a meticulous, delicate and responsible job. Its complexity lies in the mandatory consideration of the size and individual characteristics of each item. Properly executed packaging will help to minimize the risks of destruction of museum exhibits, which is why it is so important to use appropriate methods, technologies and materials in this work.
● Our packers use mica paper, kraft cardboard, bubble wrap, tyvek, flannel, flannelette, conservation foam board, and acid-free archival paper (cardboard, adhesive tape, mounting strips, etc.). These materials reliably protect valuable items from light, humidity and temperature extremes.
● Each exhibit and box is mandatory marked, which allows avoiding complications during transportation, quickly and efficiently unloading.
● For the transportation of especially valuable or non-standard items, as well as items that are in poor condition, we use boxes that we manufacture according to individual parameters.
● Packaging is made by specially trained employees under the supervision of an experienced curator.
